St. Alphonsus Parish bereavement ministry has scheduled a Hope for the Holidays for the Bereaved session for Sunday, November 10, at 3 p.m. in Liguori Hall.
Prayer vigil for the dignity of human life slated for October 29. This month, Catholics across the country are devotedly praying for the safeguarding of all human life, from its earliest stage (conception) until its natural end. On Sunday, October 29, at 12 noon (Central Time), we will gather at the Rachel Weeping statue on the grounds of St. Alphonsus Church to unite our voices in prayer for these intentions. We cordially invite you to join us as we earnestly beseech our Heavenly Father for greater reverence toward the dignity of every human life. For further information, email Phil Fuchs: stkdr@yahoo.com.
I want to bring you up to date on the status of our building project. After 2 years of preliminary planning and taking the initial steps toward designing a dedicated worship space, The Parish Council, Finance Council and Feasibility Task Force recommended that I submit a letter to the Bishop requesting the required Diocesan Building Committee's approval to move forward.
The Parish Pastoral Council invites all St. Alphonsus parishioners to submit images and textual descriptions of their preferred church exterior elevations and styles, to be considered for the dedicated worship space process.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ: I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and hold you in my prayers during this difficult time in the life of our Church, our country, and the world. Presently, the coronavirus pandemic has taken center stage, with alarming statistics and increasing numbers of sick people and deaths.
