The Council of Catholic Women (CCW) serves the Church by emphasizing that our lives be centered in prayer. We serve families - the core of society - by promoting family principles. We serve the parish and community by providing college scholarships for the Cumberland County Community and hosting fundraising events throughout the year. Our annual events sometimes include the Treasure Trove Auction and Dinner (genreally held in August). Scholarship Dinner, Silent Action, Parish Retreats and Bake Sales throughout the year. Proceeds from these functions go to our church community. We also help other organizations, such as cooking for Bread of LIfe Mission, St. Mary's Clinic, working at SACS and supporting a Diocesan Seminarian.
We serve internationally under the umbrella of the National Crouncil of Catholic Women (NCCW). The NCCW supports empowers, and educates Catholic women all over the world in spirituality, leadership, and service. NCCW programs resond with Gospel values to the needs of the Church and society in the modern world.
Our regular meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month, September through June. As you can see, there are many opportunities to serve the Lord through the CCW! If you can help us with any of our activities throughout the year, please contact the church office.
